Description

The workshop

This time the Tango RFC Workshop is a 3 full-days event, held in (nearby) Krakow, Poland.

The aim of this working together time is to finish the RFC documentation, so it reflects the current version of the Tango Controls protocol as well as to discuss the next steps of Tango Controls development.

See, the RFCs:

and if you want to contribute please join us in Krakow or remotely.

Due to the workshop format, the current venue is limited in space (accommodation for 10 people, working for ~14). So, please register ASAP, so we can adjust if there will be more on-site participants.

Goals

  1. RFC draft finished (on the first day of the workshop),
  2. Review and acceptance of the RFC 9,
  3. Next steps defined:
    • Define what we should re-implement,
    • Define missing features,
    • New ideas are included and validated.

Workshop format

The workshop will be hybrid, however, on-site presence is recommended.

It is planned that on-site participants will stay together at one venue (see below) which provides all necessary facilities to work and relax. The time will be dense with work!

The meals can be provided either by self-cooking or delivered (depending on a decision at the time).

The cost of accommodation is handled by the Tango Collaboration.

The Institutes will need to cover travel costs.

S2Innovation will organise a transfer from either Krakow airport or its office to the place.

Venue

The workshop will take place at Castle Korzkiew (https://zamek.com.pl/en/gallery/). It is located in the nice surroundings of Ojcow National Park.

The venue offers 10 sleeping places at four bedrooms with bathrooms, a kitchen and a couple of workplaces. It offers a cosy place to work and relax.
