Description
This work presents two related improvements to data handling within the Sardana framework. The first introduces configurable ScanFile and Vref pattern string substitution based on environment variables, reducing the need for custom scan hooks. The second presents a minimal set of changes required to create channel-based DataRecorders in Sardana, including an experimental PostgreSQL DataRecorder for channel-based scans.
