Sardana/IcePAP based control system for elliptically polarized undulator at Max IV.
describes a redesign of the Tango/GalilBox based control system for the elliptically polarized undulator to the standardized MAX IV Sardana/Icepap motion control platform. Overview of the redesigned control system, the motion control and software solutions will be presented. The operation of the machine will be explained, with emphasis on movement synchronization, machine calibration and position correction mechanisms. Furthermore, some design and implementation challenges, as well as technical issues will be discussed.

Control system prototype for laser-driven experiments at ELI-NP
The control system prototype for laser-driven experiments developed by the ELI-NP team is presented; insights into the purpose and status of the current setup are offered, as well as the level of integration in the TANGO framework of existing equipment. The main aspects covered by the current presentation reside in the TANGO integration of measurement equipment (energy meter, spectrometer, cameras), as well as motion devices (motorized stages, hexapod). TANGO Graphical User Interfaces, at an early stage of development, are presented for some of the devices integrated in the control system prototype. Data acquisition, archiving and logging strategies are described with focus on the software solutions employed. A summary on the network infrastructure deployed in the aforementioned setup is provided, as well as insights into the resource monitoring tools employed. Finally, future plans for attaining a higher level of equipment integration in the TANGO framework are presented, as well as possible solutions for increasing user accessibility to the underlying infrastructure.
