The control system prototype for laser-driven experiments developed by the ELI-NP team is presented; insights into the purpose and status of the current setup are offered, as well as the level of integration in the TANGO framework of existing equipment. The main aspects covered by the current presentation reside in the TANGO integration of measurement equipment (energy meter, spectrometer, cameras), as well as motion devices (motorized stages, hexapod). TANGO Graphical User Interfaces, at an early stage of development, are presented for some of the devices integrated in the control system prototype. Data acquisition, archiving and logging strategies are described with focus on the software solutions employed. A summary on the network infrastructure deployed in the aforementioned setup is provided, as well as insights into the resource monitoring tools employed. Finally, future plans for attaining a higher level of equipment integration in the TANGO framework are presented, as well as possible solutions for increasing user accessibility to the underlying infrastructure.
